MI 48370 John Lassetter is an internationally renowned dressage trainer and rider. He studied at the Spanish
Riding School in Vienna, Austria (the first visiting student to train there) and was subsequently invited to train at L’institut
national d’equitation with the Cadre Noir in Saumer, France. A British Horse Society certified
instructor (BHSI, FABRS), Mr. Lassetter’s own training center is at Goodwood in Sussex, England. He
is a member of the distinguished International Dressage Trainers Club and a founding member of the British International Dressage
Trainers Foundation. A
talented rider with an impeccable seat (according to the late Nuno Oliveira "one of the most classical seats among modern
riders"), Mr. Lassetter has competed successfully in Europe at FEI levels for Britain on Twister and Famos.
He is also a gifted instructor
and trainer who travels extensively giving clinics in the United States and Canada. His distinctive
training system methodically supples and strengthens horses while promoting harmony between horse and rider.
His attention to detail and his ability to teach riders at any level have won him an enthusiastic following in the
dressage community.
